Back in Blighty

Morning Lad,

 

I am arrived.  Was picked up by Heather and Ed at the Airport and back to Dover for a massive load of fish and chips for our Supper, wonderful.

 

Ed has unearthed a load of old pîcs, some with me, some with Lorraine and one with Detsie aged around 13.  They are new pics to me so Ed will be forwarding copies to us all.

 

Will send more tomorrow.

Last Day in Tenerife

Hello Boy,

Just up, breakfast shortly and then off to the Airport.  Ed has confirmed that he will meet me there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Of course he will.

 

Otherwise, all is well. I am packed for the journey and look forward to the trip to Dover.

Saw lots of Pilot Whales yesterday, well Jeff said they were Pilot Whales. An excellent day out and I have put a load of pics in the Cloud.

Another Sunny Day . . .

Hello Lad,

Everything fine this end, been a bit windy this morning, but then we were walking along the coast.

Added some more pics to the Cloud. This afternoon we are off to the 'Pub' to watch England Rugby and then Arsenal v Man U. So that should be fun.

Yesterday was a lot of coastline walking, which was thoroughly enjoyable. I am wearing out my new flip flops!!!!

Just sent an E-Mail to Heather and Ed to remind them I would would be arriving on Wednesday next!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other than that, all is good.

Sun, Sea & Sand!

Dear B-Pod,

Weather still great, 20 degrees yesterday and a little cooler today 15 degrees. My knees are still getting brown as well as the baldie spot on my head.

 
Watched the Scotland - England game last night on the TV. What an excellent score line for England - Sharon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doing lots of walking, not too many pics today but I have uploaded a few more onto the Cloud.

Great picture of Lorraine and Paul in your shorts, in the snow, great. Shows good form. Doreen and Jeff thought it was great too.

 Everything going great here, some shopping and more walking tomorrow in the Sun wearing shorts and flip flops yawn!!!!!!!!

Food, Scenery, Sunshine!

Hello Lad,

Yesterday went out up a mountain where the temperature was 16 degrees, then back down to sea level where the temperature was 22 degrees!!!!!!! Then had a wonderful meal of lamb chops, chips etc, great.

Today we visited a garden centre, took some pics,  and Jeff bought some small plants. Met Doreen's sister and her husband and spent the afternoon with them before having another nice pork chop meal.

Good feeding here!

Everything here is fine, the weather is really warm indeed, my baldie head is smarting a bit!!!!!!!!!

Tenerife - the First Couple of Days

Hello Boy,

I am arrived in Tenerife!  Day one & two - up at 8, showered, had breakfast and out. Had a drive around the Island, then a lovely meal mid afternoon.  Took a few pics of the sea and the mountains and back home for a rest and to sort out the computers and get them on line. Don't know why it took so long to get them on line, but I managed it in the end and here we are.

The temperature here today has been 24 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeff loaned me some shorts, which happened to fit and I expect to get my knees brown, and it is November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noted that you are having minus temperatures and snow, I don't miss the cold, this is great wearing shorts and flip flops in November.

I have posted some pics in the Cloud, not too many for day 2,  but I hope to improve tomorrow.

We are off to the Market tomorrow morning and then into town in the afternoon to watch England versus S. Africa at Rugby. Another good day.

Gatport Airwick

Dear Ben,

Arrived UK late last night boarded the bus at Luton then went via all the sites of London to Victoria Bus Station! Not changed a lot since I last visited in 1960/61. Not to be repeated, but an experience. Arrived at the Gatwick Hotel at 0100 hrs. Loads of cups of tea and then to bed. Up this morning around 8ish, watched 'Lorraine whatever her name is' on the TV! Sorted my bag and case and off to the airport. I even traveled on a little shuttle train from Gatwick East to North, very crowded indeed.

Now sat in Gatwick waiting for my flight to Tenerife at 1350 hrs. I will get something to eat shortly and then I am ready for my flight. So far all is good.

I am arrived in Tenerife. Met at the Airport by both Smees and here I am in my room with Jeff,s computer. We have not yet worked out how to get my computer onto his Net. We will.

Seilersee

Morning Lad,

Well, it has all passed very quickly indeed, all packed and ready to  leave tomorrow.  I eventually booked accommodation at Gatwick.  I arrive there at 0250 hrs on Thursday and my flight to Tenerife is at 1340 hrs.  So I should get at least 6 or 7 hours sleep before I am off again.

 

Today I visited the Seilasee, when I eventually found it.  They have built a major road away from the lakes but I managed to find it.  

 

 

No luck though with BMH, could not find it at all.  Maybe next time.
